This STAR Employee is one who shines at her job, working efficiently and thorough. She holds all of the STAR qualities that we strive for and we are lucky to have her on our team!

Congratulations to our 2023 June STAR Employee, Terry Smith!

Working with Harbin of a cumulative 12 years, Terry has held the Accounts payable position during her time. Infact, before her time with Harbin she worked for Eaton Corporation in toccoa for 8 years in the accounts payable department before they moved her position to a corporate setting. With her long-standing background of AP, Terry was then referred to Harbin by a friend to temporarily fill in for the AP department since she was already committed to work for another company in later months. We are so thankful that this temporary position turned into her forever career and to have her as a part of our family. What a blessing this addition was to our Harbin family and now we could not imagine it without her.

With an average of 100- 150 invoices daily, Terry stays very busy with her career. She must be organized to ensure that everyone is paid promptly. “I love everything about my job, especially the problem solving that it requires. It is important to pay our vendors in a timely manner and create good relationships with them for future orders. I work for a great group of guys in the office. My direct go to, Philip Hunt, has such a happy , positive outlook on life which he brings to the office each day. It is a pleasure to work for him. He is always willing to help with any task if needed. He is the best!” – Terry Smith

“It has been a joy to work with Terry Smith for the last 12 years – and at the rate she is going, it may be another 12 years! She has a great attitude and handles thousands of invoices every month without complaint. To say Terry likes her job is an understatement. Not only is Terry talented at her job, she also has a big heart for animals. In her free time, you can find her taking care of all animals in need that crosses her path. She also enjoys family genealogy research, taking a deeper dive into the ancestry of her family history in her free time. Eventually, when she eases into retirement, Terry’s dream is to move back home to Brunswick enjoying a Marsh view with her husband, Stacy (married of 26 years) , and her sweet kitten ( Millie).

Terry, thank you so much for your quality and consistency! You do not stop until the job is done correctly and completely and your hard work does not go unrecognized.
