Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University

Clemson University basketball fans love their Tigers, and have enjoyed watching them in the beautifully renovated Littlejohn Coliseum the last few years.   However, some of the fans have been a little too exuberant.  Fans would climb up and stand on, or sometimes even jump on the metal railing that protected them from tumbling down into the lower sections.   The railing was bending and sometimes popping loose from the support posts during games, causing a hazard for the fans.

The University turned to Harbin Lumber’s Installed Services team to help them get the 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena in South Carolina back in top condition during the off-season.

Harbin’s Installed Services team disassembled and removed the damaged old railing. Next, they installed 11,000 lineal feet of stainless steel cable railing from Atlantis Cable Rail.

The new cable is designed to have some flexibility while maintaining strength and integrity to provide protection from falls.

Installation is now complete, and the arena is all set for the next season to begin.  No matter what college team you cheer for, we are happy to help see that Clemson fans can now cheer safely for their Clemson Tigers.
