Celebrating Marvin Ross: Our STAR Employee of the Month
At Harbin, we believe in recognizing and celebrating the exceptional contributions of our employees. This month, we are proud to honor Marvin Ross, a CDL driver at our Reload Center, as our STAR Employee of the Month. Marvin’s dedication, experience, and “ALL IN” work ethic, have made him an invaluable member of our Harbin family for over two years.
Marvin’s journey in the transportation industry began back in the 80s when he worked as a driver for Schneider. After some time on the road, Marvin took a break and ventured into entrepreneurship, opening his own business called, M. Ross Lawn and Garden Maintenance, which he successfully ran for two decades. After retiring from his lawn business, Marvin’s desire to stay active and engaged led him back to the road. Recognizing Harbin as an ambassador of our local community, he joined our team, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong work ethic. Marvin’s decision to return to the transportation industry has proven to be a valuable asset for our organization.
As a CDL driver at our Reload Center, Marvin’s daily duties are diverse and ever-changing. He is responsible for picking up deliveries from our vendors and delivering them to Reload or other store locations, playing a crucial role in inventory allocation. Additionally, Marvin willingly assists in other areas, such as loading with the forklift at the yard or taking on extra loads. His ability to adapt to different tasks and embrace variety is one of the many reasons he enjoys his job.
