Driver at Lavonia Lumber Yard
Buck will be celebrating 7 years with Harbin Lumber Company coming up in October of this year. Buck has 26 years of driving experience in the building material’s industry. He is a valued member of our team and a huge asset to our delivery staff.
When Buck is asked what his favorite part of the job is, he says, “You get to see a lot of things and will be given a lot of opportunities. Everyday, you know something is going to be different. Some days you may only have 3 stops, the next could be 10-12. Once I’m loaded up and leave the yard, you go off on your own and I enjoy the independence of being able to get the job done right.”.
Todd Irvin, the General Manager of the Lavonia Lumber Yard spoke highly about Buck and his hard work ethic, “I’ve known Buck for many years, and he is one of the hardest workers you will find. His experience and knowledge as a driver would be hard to match. I can always count on Buck to deliver materials neatly and safely. He has great working relationships with our customers. Lots of times they call him directly for help with pick-ups and other issues.”
Just like the changes of his everyday scenery at work, Buck also likes to change it up in his off time. He likes to piddle to stay busy and always have something to do. His favorite hobby is to restore old cars. Fun Fact, you can find a picture of Buck with his 1949 Ford F1 yellow pickup truck on the front of R.M. Rose Distiller moonshine labels.Buck is happily married to his beautiful wife of 32 years, Lisa. They share 2 daughters, Ashley, and Sarah, and now have 1 grandchild, Boone Oliver, that is 17 months old. Family will always be the most important thing and he loves being able to spend time with them.
Thank you Buck for always going the extra mile. We are so glad to have you as a part of the Harbin Lumber team and look forward to many “miles” of your future success.
