We are proud to announce our January STAR Employee, someone who holds all of these special qualities, Jeff Fitzgerald.
Jeff handles all the shipping and receiving at the Harbin Door Shop. He joined the HLC family on March 26, 2015 and has held a viable position in this company ever since! Coming up on his 8 years with Harbin, every day is different and an opportunity to learn something. Jeff stated, “I have learned a lot from delivery and working hand on with the materials. In fact, I believe I learn something new every day.”
Before his time with Harbin, Jeff worked at the Pottery in Commerce, Ga for 17 years in the same industry of receiving. Having a total of 25 years working with shipping and inventory, Jeff has knowledge and precision to complete all orders exceeding expectations. We are so thankful for that one newspaper hiring ad that jeff saw 8 years ago leading him to dropping off his resume and quickly turning around to be hired on!

Jeffs daily operations include checking trucks, loading orders to go out, quality control to make sure the customers receive the best products from us, and also receiving all inventory held at the Door Shop warehouse keeping it neat and organized.
Jeff plays a very key role for us because he has been our only shipping and receiving person until just a couple of months ago. Jeff handles every piece of inventory that comes in our location and goes out. He does an excellent job in quality control not only what comes in but also trying to make sure the customer is getting what they ordered before it is shipped. Jeff is a hard worker that takes a lot of pride in his job and wants to make sure that our customers only get our best quality shipped to them. Jeff always exhibits what Harbin Lumber Company is all about and I’m proud to get to work with him.” – Eddie Wester, General Manager of the Door Shop
Outside of work, Jeff really enjoys going camping when he can get a chance to go. He also enjoys spending time with his family being surrounded by his grandkids. He is married to his beautiful wife, Judy of 42 years. Together they have 2 sons and now 3 granddaughters.
