Debbie Powell – December Employee Spotlight
At each Harbin Lumber location, there are dedicated employees who strive to serve the industry in accordance with the company’s STAR principles, mission, and values. HLC Eatonton’s, Debbie Powell, is greatly seen as one of those employees. Debbie has worked for 20+ years in the building industry in various roles including accounts receivable, shipping and receiving, inside sales, and even dabbled in assisting millwork associates with their tasks. So, you could say she is very well rounded in her work!
There are many things Debbie has learned on the job and grown to love throughout her career. She especially enjoys the interaction with all her coworkers and vendors to ensure the jobs are completed and completed right. She mentioned that though challenges may arise, being able to troubleshoot together as a team creates the best work atmosphere. General Manager of Harbin Lumber Eatonton, Jody Page, commented on Debbie’s time with the company saying, “it has really been an honor to work with Debbie. She has great drive and has always been great at what she does for our location.”
Debbie is married to her husband Vaughn and together have 3 sons and 3 rescue pups. Together they have property where they can enjoy nature out on their deck with their precious dogs. Debbie truly cares about supporting local pet rescue efforts to ensure they get to the loving home they deserve. It has been amazing to have your kind spirit and positive perspective within the company, Debbie! You fully deserve this month’s employee spotlight recognition.
