Patricia “Big C”
Load Star, Production Team Leader
Congratulations to our STAR Employee of the month, Patricia, aka “Big C”.
Patricia just celebrated 2 years working at Load Star on August 30th. Before her time at Load Star, she was working at a local restaurant in Toccoa, where she worked up quickly into a management role. She was then recruited by her brother, Raymond, to join the Load Star team in 2021. We are so thankful she made this decision to join our team because of the exponential impact she has made during her short time.
Starting as a truss builder on the 1st shift production floor, she is now working as the team leader and can help in all areas of production. Her days start with a team meeting at 5:00 AM to discuss the upcoming jobs needing to be completed and working through any issues that may arise. She helps supervise all production and roof tables checking for quality products and maintaining work efficiency. Her goal is to make sure that everyone is working safely by following the rules and creating quality products that our customers will be proud of. She is also Forklift certified and can help load and bring materials to the production tables. Training is very important to Patricia. She is thankful for the training she received when she first joined the Load Star family and now she continues to pass her knowledge along to new employees every day. She is also training in a new software MVP program that will allow her to access the jobs on each truss table.
When asked “What does she like most about her job?” it was difficult to answer because she couldn’t pick just one thing. “I like everything about my job.” – Patricia
“Big C was hired a couple of years ago. She immediately made an impact with her hard work and great personality. Big C is smart, a harder worker, and has learned almost everything in the plant in her two years. But, her most important attribute is her leadership. She gets along with everyone and tries her best to be the best every day!” – Mike Miller, Load Star production manager
Working at Load Star is like working with family. They take care of each other, make memories, share laughs but also get the job done. One of the most memorable moments for Patricia was when Load Star celebrated the 50th Anniversary last July with a family picnic. Everyone joined together bringing their family’s to the lake, eating good food and fellowshipping.
“I appreciate the opportunity of being a working woman in this company and given the same equal opportunity. Being a truss builder is a very hard job but at the end of the day we can do it and there is great reward at the end seeing completed work.” – Patricia
When she is not at work, she enjoys spending her time at the gym or by the pool. Spending time with her family is also very important to her. They enjoy grilling out and having large family get togethers.
Patricia, thank you so much for all of your hard work! You have made such a big impact to our team at Load Star and we look forward to your continued success and growth! Keep S.miling, having the willingness to T.each others your passions, “A.ll In” attitude, and R.oyal Law of treating others the way you want to be treated. We are so proud to have you on our team!
Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, and through him give thanks to Jehovah the father. Colossians 3:17.
