At Harbin Lumber Company, we are so lucky to have amazing team of employees who support each other and work together! Every individual on this team holds a crucial part to our day-to-day operations. At this time we are proud to announce our 2023 March STAR Employee of the month, Nick Kingery!
Nick is not typically someone a customer ever sees. But without him, job site materials would be much less likely to arrive on time. That’s because Nick is an integral part of the team at Harbin Lumber’s Reload Facility, where inventory arrives on rail cars, and is stored and distributed based on the restocking needs for six Harbin locations in which he will deliver these materials one truck load at a time!
Originally from Florida, Nick has been a licensed CDL truck driver for over 20 years, during this time he drove fuel trucks. The furthest distance he drove was to deliver orange juice from Orlando, FL to Washington State! He put many miles and hours on the road at that time. Mainly driving fuel tanks, you must work weekends and holidays, as the fuel business never stops. Eventually, Nick decided to move away from the sunshine state to be closer to family. In 2021, Nick joined the Harbin Lumber family as a CDL driver for our Reload facility. “I like the freedom on the road. Being able to get out and enjoy myself and see new things. The best part about working for Harbin is guaranteed weekends off.” – Nick
When he is not putting the miles on the road with successful deliveries, Nick enjoys going hunting and fishing. A good weekend spent for nick would be to take his bass boat out on the water and spend time with his Dog, Lucky.
